Religion III — Final Project
Jesus Themes in Popular Film
Due to this project, you will NOT be reporting to the scheduled final exam session on Wednesday, December 18.
Project Description
Over the past several months we have engaged with the Christian Scriptures and extensively explored the
Gospels through both an academic and spiritual lens. Through our studies, we have gained a deeper
understanding of Jesus Christ and the New Testament teachings as they apply to our daily experiences.
Movies/films, as cultural artifacts, also play an important part of our daily experiences. This project will require
you to locate Christ-like characteristics in characters within popular film. You may choose a film, but it must be
approved by Mrs. Bostic on Wednesday, December 4/Thursday, December 5.
1.5-2 page paper
Your paper must be 12-point size in Times New Roman or Calibri font with 1” margins (double spaced). It is
expected that all submitted work is your own and proper citations are provided when appropriate. See the
Academic Integrity section of the Parent/Student Handbook for more information.
