LIBRARY STORE

Library Store is designed to store library books and lending them to potential readers.
The business is aimed at acquiring local market shares in the bookstore industry through a
dominant selection of products, low price, competitive services, and friendly environment that
encourage reading and browsing. Library Store will offer a wide range of Music Selections,
magazines, and books. This includes all category, including business, fiction, science, nonfiction, children’s, collecting, hobbies, among other types of books. Our music collection will
mainly include CDs as they are the most popular and consumes less space. In addition, the
business will offer a competitive buy and trade service to aid in lowering our inventory
acquisition costs and making our outlets more attractive to our customers. Besides, the business
provides a search and order service for hard to find items. Library Store will have a relaxed
reading room aided by the placement of chairs, coaches, among others.
Library Store needs a database system to store and retrieve book information accurately
and effectively. The database system to be implemented will not only make the business
organized but also will eliminate data redundancy, inconsistencies, and integrity issues. Besides,
a database system will ensure data independence, flexibility, and will make data shareable. Also,
the database system provides that the business have a single centralized store for all data
applications. It creates independent application programs that can be accessed from a common
shared database (Ramakrishnan & Gehrke, 2000). As the business requires reporting, a database
system ensures easiness in reporting as it shows relationships and entities. Security is enhanced
through cardinality and indexing.

The cost of revenue is the total cost that has been incurred in the process of selling books
in the library. Upon calculation, this cost was more than the price of goods sold since it includes
the specific selling and marketing activities associated with the sale itself. It puts into
consideration the different expenses such as rent, insurance, expensed the equipment, as well as
other necessities. As soon as the revenue is accrued, revenue share is made available to the
shareholders in the business. This has been made possible as the income margin is leveled in
such a way that sales will be optimized. Expenses, on the other hand, are reduced to facilitate an
increase in the total revenue generated.
In addition to that, the scenario manager can look at the economy and its influence on the
business in terms of growth and profit marginalization. Another scenario, such as courier service
can be considered. This is a modest opportunity as people are readily looking for people who can
deliver products and goods to any place. The most important thing is the diversity of this
business as it may involve bicycle, drone delivery, van courier, motorcycle as well as standard
courier.
